Bob made it in the news on Friday for us doing a Tax Free Weekend to all of our customers.  the only bad part is that the newsman came in after we just finished doing a big breakfast (which meant for a very sweaty Bob) but other than that.....all is good.   Hey - free advertising :)

Summer

I almost forgot how to post an update since it has been so long - ha ha ha

Summer is going to so fast and we have been busy.  To be honest, the reason I have not been on my computer is because Shaun has pretty much hijacked it to play Minecraft online.  His computer "lags" so he goes on mine all the time.  Since I work during the day now, when I come home from the restaurant, he is on my computer... 

Well, i went to Greenville a few weeks ago to visit my parents and I begged Matthew to let me take his I-Pad with me (Shaun actually uses his often so he did not want to share).  Well, since I have gotten back,not onece has he asked for it.  Also, when I took it off his shelf in his room their was a nice little dust ring around it (please don't judge me) but that shows that he does not use it.  He likes his laptop.   Now my Matt has decided I could "borrow" it until he needs it - which really is just to watch Netflix movies.  I am SO happy.  I have now downloaded tons of fun stuff on it....I dread when he looks at it :)

So, I am hoping to get back into blogging.  I really miss it.  I know I've said it before.  I hope it sticks.  I enjoy looking at old post.  Old photos.  Old memories.  Remembering the past fun event. Comments from friends.  I miss it all.  I also miss checking blogs.  I have not looked at blogs in awhile.  I do miss that.

This pink rose is around 94 years old.  It is my neighbors and it has been passed down thru many generations. 

Dear 16 Year Old Me and more....

First let me share this video - powerful and makes me wonder how important that tan is that I love.

 

 

I still have been working alot at the restaurant, well, not really alot but M-F until the kids come home.  I am still really enjoying it and look forward to going into "work". 

I cut 14 inches off of my hair about 3 weeks ago - and it feels GREAT!  The salon I go to is the best - they give you a massage before your haircut and when they wash the color out they give you an arm/hand massage.  The chair that you sit in is a massaging lounger.

The kids only have 1 & 1/2 weeks of school left - they are so ready for summer.  I am not so ready because it is just going to be HOT (like today).  This is what my car said this afternoon:

 
 

I have lost almost 60 lbs - just a few more to go to reach this number.  I still have more to loose (around 30 lbs.) but I am enjoying seeing the difference.  I feel much healthier and lighter :)  I still have not gotten into the working out which I know I am going to have to do soon.  I am starting to slow down on the weight loss and I know that is the next step.

We celebrated St. Patricks day at work (we were packed)

 

We (Beef's) participated in the Spring Showcase Business Expo.  It was in an old barn that once was a Peanut Warehouse.  Very nice but it would have been a little better if they had fans or air conditioning.

A wine I bought from a local winery here.  Sadly I did not care for it - way too sweet for me.  I love really dry, red wines.

This sweet little guy is on a diet - the Vet informed he that he is a bit chunky.  Poor guy....

And as for me:

• I have officially lost 43 lbs.
• I have not had a regular Coke in over a month (this is huge for me)
• My blood sugar seems to finally be on track
• I am wanting to scrapbook this weekend
• Not sure I am ready for the heat of summer yet
• but loving the weather right now
• is planning a trip back to Greenville soon to see my parents 
• is thinking a nice cup of coffee would be great right now....bye!
